START work in partnership with Mind in Salford to deliver a Listening Lounge drop-in service, alongside the GMMH Home Based Treatment team's bookable appointments service . The service is based at at Hollybank, 40 Eccles Road, M6 8RA
Drop-in service
This part of the Salford Listening Lounge offer is managed by START and delivered by non-clinical members of staff such as START Recovery Workers and Mind Peer Support Workers. It is currently open Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays), 1pm to 3pm.
The drop-in is suitable for anyone in a self-defined crisis - e.g. if you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or simply unable to cope in your current situation. These sessions provide a listening ear if you feel you need to talk to someone about your mental health and what is impacting your wellbeing. We would look at tools to help you cope in the future, or signpost to other appropriate services.
Service type
This service is face-to-face and is delivered in partnership with Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Trust (GMMH), START, and MIND in Salford.
How to access the drop-in
Simply drop-in to the service between 1pm and 3pm. If someone attends later than this time, then we would ask if they returned the following day. No phone call ahead required. Hollybank, 40 Eccles Road, M6 8RA
