"Breaking down barriers and regaining control of your next steps"

Getting you prepared for the next step

It can be difficult to know where to begin when you’re ready for the next step on your recovery journey. STARTforward provides a safe, no-pressure environment for you to explore what you want to do; whether that’s volunteering, education or employment.

We meet once a week for 10 weeks, and together we will explore what your goals are, the skills you have, and how to be resilient in your journey going forward. We will answer the questions that are important to you, like how your benefits might be affected, how to explain gaps on your CV, and how and if to discuss your mental health with employers.

The artist led sessions in the afternoon are a great way to relax after the morning session, but also help to build confidence, team work skills, and helps the bond the group.

After the 10 week course you will work with our integration worker to get your next steps in place; whether that’s finding volunteering opportunities, a work placement, a training course or employment, we’re here to help you reach your goal.
